Privacy policy
CodexSkin is designed so the most sensitive input—your theme image—does not need to leave your browser.
Local image processing
Images selected in the theme studio or Pet Link Lab are decoded and validated in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit those files through a CodexSkin server.
Local helper
CodexSkin Helper accepts trusted preset image URLs from codexskin.me or opens a .codexskin package you downloaded locally. It does not read Codex conversations, projects, authentication, API keys, or provider settings.
Information we may receive
Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security and delivery. We do not intentionally collect Codex conversations, projects, API keys, model settings, or exported skin packages.
Privacy-conscious analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated page visits, referral sources, and product interactions. Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies and process device and network information under Google's terms. Product events may include a page surface or preset identifier, but never your selected image, skin name, Codex content, email address, API keys, or other personal input.
Outbound links and downloads
Links to GitHub, email, and other sites are governed by their own privacy policies. The macOS installer bundles the reviewed open-source engine with its license and notices.
