Install CodexSkin for macOS.

CodexSkin connects this website to the reviewed open-source Codex Dream Skin engine. Install it once, then choose any skin and click Apply to Codex.

Install CodexSkin

Download the macOS package, open it, and double-click Install CodexSkin.

Choose a skin

Return to the gallery and click Apply to Codex on any preset.

Confirm

Allow the browser to open CodexSkin Helper, the local component installed with CodexSkin. It applies the skin and reopens Codex.

One installer, then one click

  1. First openIf macOS blocks the development preview, Control-click the installer and choose Open.
  2. Preset skinsThe gallery sends only a skin name, trusted codexskin.me image URL, and validated colors.
  3. Your imageStudio creates a data-only .codexskin package. Open the downloaded file with CodexSkin Helper.
  4. RestoreUse the Restore launcher created on your Desktop to return to the official appearance.

The Windows helper is not ready yet. The reviewed upstream scripts remain available for technical users.

Before you run anything

  • CDP must bind only to 127.0.0.1.
  • Official app binaries and signatures must remain untouched.
  • API keys and provider settings must stay independent.
  • A recoverable configuration backup must exist.
